Access from Home

TSG offers two ways to connect from home to your classroom applications. The preferred method is through VMWare View. The second is through Genie (using Citrix).

Free Software

Everybody likes something for free. TSG has partnered with Microsoft to make available a full catalog of free Microsoft software including Visual Studios, Windows 7, Microsoft Project and others. Accounts and log-in information is automatically sent out every semester after drop/add.

Network Access

Wifi is available to all students, faculty and staff across campus. Each device needs to be registered to the network before it can access the internet. You can manually register devices such as embedded devices, Arduino boards, xboxes by going to https://talon.fau.edu/netreg

Printers

There maybe alternatives to printing on paper. Printing to a PDF saves money and resources. But if you can't do that there are Pay for Print printers available in the Cube (EE101H), EE12, EG130 and in EG276. Plotter is located in IS4. Money is only collected to replenish supplies.

We have two locations where you can find us. We are just across from the University Library in Engineering West room EG276 and on the North East Corner of the University campus in Engineering East room EE303.
